Insulation of the Breast Wall of Glass Furnaces
Date:2015-12-30 09:28 | From:Zhengzhou Sunrise Refractory | Author:admin
The breast wall of glass furnaces is subjected to the impact of flame and fly ash, so refractory materials with better corrosion resistance to flame and fly ash are used in the breast wall. Fused cast AZS block are usually used in the breast wall. The working temperature of the breast wall is higher, so it should be insulated.

Since the breast wall has a higher service temperature, when selecting materials in contact with it, chemical reaction must be taken into consideration. There are generally three structure types for the insulation of the breast wall.
1) Double insulation layers
The first layer consists of dense or lightweight aluminum silicate products. The second layer is composed of ultra-lightweight insulation materials or ceramic fiber products.
2) Multilayer block insulation
The insulation materials are multilayer blocks consisting of several insulation refractory materials with different thermal conductivity. It has been now used worldwide.
3) The high temperature insulation layer adopts honeycomb aluminum phosphate or chromium phosphate concrete. The outer layer is composed of phosphorus perlite or perlite.
