Light mullite brick product performance introduction:

Mullite bricks are high-aluminum refractory materials with mullite as the main crystal phase. Generally, the alumina content is between 65% and 75%. In addition to mullite, those with lower alumina also contain a small amount of glass phase and cristobalite; those with higher alumina also contain a small amount of corundum. Mullite bricks have a high fire resistance, which can reach above 1790 ° C. Load softening start temperature is 1600 ~ 1700 ℃. The compressive strength at room temperature is 70 ~ 260MPa. Good thermal shock resistance. There are sintered mullite bricks and fused mullite bricks. Sintered mullite bricks are made of high-alumina bauxite clinker, a small amount of clay or raw bauxite is added as a binder, and they are formed and fired. The fused mullite brick is made of high alumina, industrial alumina and refractory clay, and is added with charcoal or coke fine particles as a reducing agent. It is manufactured by reduction fused method after molding. The fused mullite crystals are larger than the sintered mullite and have better thermal shock resistance than the sintered products. Their high temperature performance is mainly determined by the alumina content and the uniformity of the mullite phase and glass distribution.

1. Low thermal conductivity and good thermal insulation effect;
2. Low heat melting. Due to the low thermal conductivity, the mullite series of light heat-insulating bricks accumulate very little heat energy, and the energy saving effect is obvious in intermittent operation;
3, low impurity content has very low iron box alkali metal and other oxide content, therefore, high fire resistance; higher aluminum content makes it still maintain good performance in a reducing atmosphere;
4. High thermal compressive strength and high fire resistance, up to 1790 ℃. Load softening start temperature is 1450-1600 ° C. The compressive strength at room temperature is 2-6MPa. Good thermal shock resistance;
5, accurate appearance dimensions, speed up the masonry, reduce the use of refractory mud, ensure the strength and stability of the masonry, thereby extending the life of the liner;
6, can be processed into special shapes to reduce the number of bricks and joints.
