How to Improve the Corrosion Resistance of Insulation Bricks
Date:2016-02-15 10:24 | From:Zhengzhou Sunrise Refractory | Author:admin
Corrosion resistance refers to the resistance a refractory brick offers against the reaction with adverse elements which can corrode the material at high temperature. Those adverse elements include slags, fuels, ash, dust, iron, lime, cement clinker, clinker, waste, molten metal, molten glass, acids and basics, electrolyte solution and various gaseous substances.

Corrosion resistance is a measure of resistance of refractory bricks to chemical corrosion and mechanical wear. It is an important indicator for choosing the right refractory bricks.
The following measures can be adopted to improve the resistance of insulation bricks.
1) Improve the purity of raw materials, change the mineral composition of products and reduce the low-melting materials and impurities;
2) choose the raw materials with similar properties to the corrosive medium;
3) Choose the right manufacturing methods to achieve products with uniform and dense structure.
