Can refractory cement and refractory be mixed?

Date:2020-01-14 16:46 | From:Zhengzhou Sunrise Refractory | Author:admin
Refractory cement is also called high alumina cement, aluminate cement. So how should refractory cement be used? Can it be mixed with refractory?
1. The use of refractory cement

The use of refractory cement is actually very simple. First pour water into the container, then sprinkle the refractory cement evenly, and stir evenly. Generally, no other bonding agent is required. You can also add some refractory aggregate and powder. If only refractory cement is used, many cracks will occur after high temperature. It can be used for cementing various refractory aggregates (such as corundum, calcined high-alumina bauxite, etc.), making refractory mortar or concrete, and lining it in cement rotary kilns and other industrial kilns.
2. Can refractory cement and refractory be mixed?

Refractory cement and refractory are two different types of refractory materials, but some customers put them together and use this method. This is wrong. So why can't they be mixed? First, the refractory cement has a fire resistance of 1500 degrees and has a high strength after solidification. The grade can reach 625. It is mainly mixed with bauxite aggregate to configure refractory concrete with high fire resistance. The refractory soil has a fire resistance of 1000 degrees, and has no strength after solidification, and only plays a certain bonding role. Refractory soil is usually used to build refractory bricks or paste furnace walls.

If the refractory cement and refractory are used together, the use value of the refractory cement will be greatly reduced, which is equivalent to mixing refractory cement and loess together. The refractory cement's solidification strength and grade will be greatly reduced.
